Establish financial expectations

Do you have a budget or a specific financial plan that the project/s needs to adhere to, Software Focus International will make sure that your expectations are clearly defined so we can target the correct Technology partner/s to not only work inside your available budget but also to match your exact software engineering development expectations and timelines.

Outline your requirement criteria

Once we have a true understanding of your development requirements, we then build this into short customer specific strategy outlining the technical direction and requirements. This will then be used as the search parameters required for us to locate your new development partner through our expanding and wide-ranging supplier partners, enabling us to closely match your requirement criteria to a suitable supplier based on but not limited to specific technologies, supplier development capabilities, proven track record, budget & timeline criteria, regional location, product warranty and on-going support /after care etc.

Quotation stage

Upon gathering all of the requirements SFI will identify the most suitable supplier/s that most appropriately fit the specific project needs. For the quotation / tender process we will then meticulously work on your behalf to perform the required due diligence, checking references for product/service and quality , and any requirements for follow-up services including Quality Assurance, implementation, maintenance, and warranty are scrutinized, samples of their code may be examined, or trials undertaken. On completion this will be a formal stage where we document the relationship between all the parties involved, creating and agreeing the contract, defining the payment schedule. We aim to provide a minimum of 2 quotations for review. Once you have made your decision as to which quotation / supplier best suits the requirement we will then instruct the awarded partner they have been successful in their bid.

Development

Once we are in receipt of your deposit and signed approval we will then inform the awarding supplier to commence work on the date that you have agreed. On initiation of this work we will act as mediator ensuring the development work conforms to the customers’ requirements set out in the agreement as well as matching or exceeding the necessary quality and security standards within the specified time lines and to help resolve any potential issues before they materialise, thus providing you with the development quality you would expect delivered on time. Softwarefocus ensures all of our partners utilise an agile methodology that provides consistency with our project management services.

Project Management

Software Focus International can if requested manage the end to end delivery for your technology Projects, we can provide you with an accredited IT/Business Project Manager to take control of the project helping your already fully utilised and potentially inexperienced management team to stay focused on the daily activities. Our project management service proactively resolves issues before they become reality, highlights potential blocking points before they cause a negative impact to the project delivery. Softwarefocus truly follows the agile methodology approach allowing the engineering development teams to deliver project elements piece-by-piece for customer review making rapid adjustments as required. This process is especially useful in complex projects allowing for the customer to have an early insight into the realisation of the project deliverables at defined stages, Softwarefocus embraces an agile methodology which has resulted in more customer needs met at less cost.

Implementation

Implementation is often overlooked and in some cases simply looked upon as turning on a switch. Not understanding the implementation is often a cause of delay in the realisation of the project deliverables that causes low morale with the workforce and a feeling of project failure.
